Maine Sports Arena, home of Maine Juniors Volleyball, is excited to announce a unique partnership with The Maine Swarm AAU Basketball. The Maine Swarm is part of the 2nd largest basketball club in the country and will run tryouts, practices, skills sessions, and camps out of MSA starting in September 2018. Their programs complement MSA/Maine Juniors’ passion and commitment to youth sports within the Southern Maine community.
Swarm Basketball is focused on providing an inclusive and positive environment for basketball players grades 3-12. The program aims to teach players the game of basketball through fundamental skill work with unparalleled basketball instructors. Players are guided to reach their highest potential as an individual player as well as a teammate. Players will understand terms such as respect, hard work, sacrifice, dedication, and commitment. In the end, it’s Swarm’s hope that each player will get maximum growth as a player and a person; and additionally, grow to love the great game of basketball.
Every coach in Swarm’s organization is USA Basketball Certified, undergoing educational and safety training provided by USA Basketball. Coaches are guided by the rules and regulations of the organization and strive to uphold the highest possible standard of professionalism. USA Basketball and Swarm AAU Basketball are committed to teaching proper skill development in an encouraging environment.
